What is a Child Soldier?

by Magaret Amara, Government Model Secondary School. Freetown, Sierra Leone

I am 16 years old and I attending Model Secondary school. A child soldier is a child who has been captured to train and fight against Sierra Leone. These people were taking drugs and than some of our brothers and sisters were captured by the rebel s who are war -like people .Because of this education becomes poor for the children. This make some parents abandon their children and this led them to follow rebels to the bush and they began to thieve, kill, rape, chop people's hands, feet etc.
